Dear Local Schools,

I’m writing with regards to the British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet. This letter is to inform you that this exhibition is already on Display at our museum, and we are welcoming all schools to book in a class group session. We can arrange tours with a museum assistant, to help inform your pupils, and maximise their knowledge about World War 2 and the damage it had done in particular to Plymouth.

This exhibition consists of a unique collection of pieces selected from the artist community displayed as part of the art exhibition. This exhibition has been designed to collaborate with the KS2 History curriculum. Also we will have worksheets and activities available on request. To contribute to this we have been given a grant from the arts council to help assist schools with transportation and other costs. Please contact me for further details 01752 304774.

Yours faithfully,

Miss J Williams Manager of Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery

Funding

I looked at equipment as the main thing our funding would go on, budgeting £2080 for the equipment and the installation, I chose an auditorium projector because it specialising in being immensly bright which is necessary for our piece. I asked for £3000 to then cover school participation worksheets and paying the artist and advertising.
